Support that meets you where you are
Confidential sessions you can join from a private, comfortable space — wherever you are in Kenya or internationally.
What online therapy is
Online therapy is the same compassionate, professional support you would receive in person, offered through a secure video call or by telephone. You meet from wherever you feel most at ease, and the conversation unfolds just as it would face to face.
Who it may suit
Online sessions can be a good fit if travel is difficult, if you have a demanding schedule, if you live outside the area or overseas, or if you simply feel more comfortable talking from your own space. If you are unsure whether it suits you, we can talk it through before you commit.
How to prepare
Choose a private, safe location where you will not be interrupted, and set aside the full session time. Test your camera and microphone beforehand, and have a glass of water and a tissue or two within reach. There is nothing else to prepare — you can arrive exactly as you are.
Privacy recommendations
Find a quiet room where your conversation cannot be overheard, and let others know you should not be disturbed. Using headphones adds an extra layer of privacy and makes it easier to hear and be heard.
Technology you will need
A reliable internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone — a laptop, tablet or smartphone — is all that is required. For telephone sessions, a stable phone line is enough.
Payment and confirmation
When you request an appointment, it remains pending until it is confirmed. Once your session and any payment are confirmed, you will receive the details and joining link. Requesting a time does not by itself guarantee the slot until you have that confirmation.
If the connection fails
Occasionally technology lets us down. If the connection drops, we will use an agreed backup method — for example, switching to a telephone call — to continue where we left off. If reconnecting is not possible, we will reschedule the remainder of the session at no disadvantage to you.
How to reschedule
Life happens. If you need to move your appointment, let us know as early as you can through the contact details in your confirmation, and we will arrange a new time.
A note on safety
Please join from a private, safe location. Where it is professionally appropriate, you may be asked to share your location at the start of a session, so that support can be directed to you quickly in the unlikely event of an emergency.
